A friend of mine swore that he just can’t stay a day without the benefits of Digital TV. It’s not surprising why this is so — with the hundreds of various channels to choose from. Aside from the many channels that Digital TV has, there are lots of other reasons why it’s preferred than Cable TV.
One of the reasons is the fact that you can watch your favourite channels and get access to information. Lots of channels now exist on Digital TV — from move channels to information channels. Who says children are left out of the wonder of Digital TV?
Gone are the days of spending so much money before you can watch more than a few channels… all thanks to the introduction of Digital TV. Subscribers can easily pay for Digital TV subscription than they can pay for Cable TV. This is one of the aspects that have lots of people stunned. More should cost more, not less.
Why should you continue to pay much more for Cable TV when you can pay less and receive more? Ask any lover of Digital TV and they will confess to you that their greatest love for the technology isn’t just the name – Digital TV – but the variety of channels they are now presented with. Digital TV can’t be compared to any other at the moment — with their comedy channels, movie channels, information channels, music channels, etc, you have a lot to choose from. Cable TV certainly can’t compare with Digital TV in this regard.
This is all well and good but what practical difference to our lives does all of this make as far as the Fujitsu P50XHA40 Digital TV is concerned.
The P50XHA40 is a 50in Plasma TV and currently these TV’s can be found for 5000 pounds sterling or 10000 US dollars. The screen resolution is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Fujitsu has none scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the P50XHA40 uses is HDMI / DVI 1/1. The type of Tuner for this TV is not required and the Fujitsu is available from limited outlets only.
So how would we rate the Fujitsu P50XHA40?
Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 10, next we would look at the sound quality and our view of this would be 8. Another useful aspect to review is the availability and number of relevant connections and our score here would be 6. If we take a look at the overall “featureability” our score would be 8 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 6 and 8 respectively.
The overall verdict would be this is one of Fujitsus oldest hi definition Plasma Big Screeen TV’s. On first takes, this piece of equipment widly impressive, its not ugly but just isn’t necessarily beautiful either. Given its distinct lack of connectivity I presume the Fujitsu philospohy is that if you’ve got the cash to pay for this type of equipment then you are not going to think trwice about getting top of the range peripherals for it either. On the massive plus side is that the picture qualities are excellent with excellence all round on the visual front. As one commentator said “this is Plasma TV at its best”.
It is extremely unlikely given the variety and range of makes and models available that you will not be able to find something to match your tastes or budget. You could be completely avant-garde and stay in the forefront of fashion and design or you could decide to take perhaps the safer option and go for one of the established makes and models available. The extra wide extension table on the Brother SQ9000 sewing machine in addition to the included quilting accessories make this a great combination machine for those who want to make quilts as well as clothes. This is exactly the same as the Brother XR9000 with a couple of major differences.
It has a refreshing splash of purple accenting the front, bonus quilting accessories that previously had to be purchased separately and the price is lower.
Brother SQ9000 Stitch Patterns
There are 80 built-in stitches to cover mending, clothes construction, quilting, joining, and piecing. Included in that list are 8 styles of auto-sizing, 1-step buttonholes.
Stitch selection is accomplished with the use of easy arrow buttons located around the backlit LCD screen. Stitch with is adjustable to 7mm and length is adjustable to 5mm.
There is also one font of letters and characters for monogramming. The font style is rather boxy and the font size is small but sufficient for stitching messages and monograms on clothing, quilts and other projects. Using the font stitches, you can sew messages or names onto clothes, monogram cuffs or tags, or combine letters with decorative stitches for your own patterns.
Brother SQ9000 Presser Feet
You now get the presser feet most necessary for doing any quilting or free-motion embroidery on a sewing machine. A total of 10 presser feet are included: Zigzag, Walking foot, Quilting foot, 1/4″ foot, Monogramming, Buttonhole, Zipper, Button Fitting, Overcasting and a Blind Stitch foot.
The number of presser feet that come with the Brother SQ9000 would cost about $100 if purchased separately. That’s a plus for this sewing machine, if you’re comparing several models.
Brother SQ9000 Features
The included extension table really boosts your ability to work with larger projects, particularly heavier quilting pieces. Without the table, lengthy sections of fabric can pull against the sewing machine as you work. You can remove the flat bed attachment and replace it with this longer, wider table in order to have more work.
This is a computerized sewing machine with an LCD screen and push button controls. A number of automated features have been included to speed up threading and sewing tasks. An automatic needle threader makes threading very simple. The quick set, top-loading bobbin means you don’t need to mess with pulling up the bobbin threads. In terms of total size, the Brother SQ9000 is smaller than some other comparable models but makes up for size with the extension table. The number of included presser feet and accessories also offer considerable value.
