Keeping Your Old Camera
There has always been a debate about what is better. Traditional cameras using film, or the so called new technology, storing pictures in digital form on memory cards, in computers or on CD-Rom.
As being a photographer for more than half of my life, I stuck with traditional film for very long. About 7 years ago I started to supplement my work with photos taken the digital way. A point and shoot camera with just 640×480 pixel resolution was the most attractive gadget I had these days. Its lens was even capable of doing close-up work, using a macro switch.
That Fujifilm DX-7 was upgraded with a bigger Memory-Card and the camera served me well for several years.
Anyway, over time, I was still more satisfied with the possibilities my collection of Pentax SLR cameras gave me. It started with using the best lenses for each picture or just using a Zoom (which offers a range from wide angle to telephoto), changing the shutter speed to either stop or blur the motion of objects in the picture, use external flashlights, change the aperture openings to adjust the range of sharpness and lots more. Not forgetting the better picture quality I could get from a 35mm negative or slide. I was happy to use my heavy, solid metal camera.
The world changed for me when camera makers like Nikon and Canon introduced their Digital SLR Cameras. I went to my local camera shop every week and debated with the salesman about advantages and disadvantages of the models they had on sale. Also I checked with lots of users in online services to get first hand feedback on how these cameras performed. Finally, when Pentax introduced their Digital SLRs, I couldn’t wait much longer. I needed to have one of those.
With the Pentax 1st DS have a whole list of advantages over smaller Digital Cameras:
I can use the same lenses that fit my traditional camera
Have full control over speed and aperture
I can see the picture immediately after it is taken
I can shoot a series of pictures and choose the best (at no extra cost for film or paper)
A good resolution of 6 Megapixel which allows quite big prints
It weights more than a compact digital camera, so you can hold it steady more easily
Make use of all the filters, flashlights, lenses and accessories I have collected over the years.
Storing the pictures on the PC via a fast USB connection
Up to 1 GB storage on a SD Memory Card (about 380 jpg photos)
Selecting only the best photos for printing
With all these advantages of digital SLR Cameras, you may wonder why I still keep my old 35mm film cameras with me. First, it is emotional, and second, photographing the old fashioned way keeps me calm. You just need more time to produce an excellent, satisfying photograph (because you cannot see the result right after the shot).

Pentax KX looks good on paper but really worth it or not.
After the research for Month with entry level DSLRs, I finally concluded. Pentax KX and affordable with lots of features that are different from 1000D Canon and Nikon D3100, which costs about the same. It also won the best entry level DSLR by Tipa. However, my concern is that one in detail. It seems nice enough when I read But they did not have time to check that in fact? Esp the quality of the picture or not. I saw a preview with the same settings and from 1000D 1000D KX, pictures look good. ในแง่ของการลดเสียงรบกวน! ISO 6400 is not over, but the noise reduction effective? Finally, a macro shot is usually a lens. 18-55 mm can do if you own or use. Pentax KX a few times I really will. appeciate your answer Thank you!
There is and old saying is true, it Not a photographer's camera. "At the end of the day the quality of the image you give your camera depends on the knowledge of composition and light exposure and your ability to use Knowledge, so please remember that "not a photographer's camera.." I made these images are 25 years old Minolta 35 mm film camera: http://www.flickr.com/photos/drifter45h/4032748624/ lens. 21mm @ F16, and set at 6 '- 0''to the maximum depth of field. – From 2 '- 2''infinity Aperture priority camera and tripod attached. http://www.flickr.com/photos/drifter45h/4048051455/ 100 mm lens @ F11, camera manual and tripod in the next exposure. 30 seconds, I'm not saying this is a good picture or a photographer and I'm all good. However, either. Example, I told the camera what to do. Although I think every photographer wants to learn to shoot in Manual camera's metering and self-set aperture and shutter speed I Not that long ago and now shoot almost exclusively in Aperture Priority, I recommend reading the review. This Pentax KX: http://www.shutterbug.net/equipmentreviews/amateur_digital_slrs/0510pentax/index.html. As you noticed in some reviews that you read the different camera manufacturers use different ways to reduce digital noise that exceeds the set ISO, or during long exposure. As in all things. Trade offs when dealing with noise reduction. But you do not have to depend on the camera to deal with noise. With other methods that may prove the better. This article explains how to deal with. Process noise in the post. : Http://www.shutterbug.net/equipmentreviews/software_computers/0309noise/index.html. Also, I believe that, ask yourself this question is true. : "I will often use real ISO 6400? Or ISO. Higher than 400 or not, think about it. Whenever I see a zoom lens that has the word "macro" I have asked for some sort of "truth in advertising." Rules that are applied to the removal of the word "macro" from the zoom lens. Why is it misleading. True macro lens focal length constant. – 50mm, 60mm, 100mm, 105mm and so will the rate of reproduction. 1:01 full (life size), if you shoot long ant. 20mm macro lens with real ants are. 20mm length on your sensor. Zoom in close with the emphasis on capability Will not exceed 1:04 (1 / 4 life size). Reproduction ratio, so if you shoot the same length. 20mm Ant and the Ant is only 5 mm Long on your sensor Pentax 18 – 55mm zoom will help. You make some good But not really close the macro. Since the lens is still Pentax KX "K" introduced in Mt. , 1975 All "K" mount lens ever made that can be used with it. With image stabilization in the camera, everyone becomes a lens that is used in fact a lens. Nikon and Canon can not say that. With the camera – on any vehicles. Other "K" mount lenses are made from AF. 1988 auto focus on the KX Nikon D3100. Required of the lens Nikon AF -. S for autofocus. – Older Nikon AF lenses can be used of course. But it will not autofocus. In my opinion, you'll be fine. Pentax KX with just having the ability to turn the pair. / Many people will only interesting feature from the world that opens up the possibility of different and creative ideas for you.

Brother Mini Printer
Brother Mini Printer
How do I share a printer over a Mac/PC Network?
I have my Brother HL-2040 Laser printer hooked up to my Mac Mini. I have a Mac-mac network going, with my PowerBook G4 upstairs. I can’t figure out how to get my Windows XP computer to use the same printer. I know it can be done, but I just don’t know how… I have the printer set to be shared, I have all sharing things unlocked on my mac. When I go into the preferences on my XP computer to set up the printer, it shows the names of my Mini and my Powerbook in that dropdown screen where you choose the printer you want to use over the network, but it won’t drop down and show the printer under the computer name.
Thanks in advance!
PS. are there any special drivers I need to download to make the printer print on my PC?

Ouija Board Help Plz?
So I made a Ouija Board at school with paper and I used my friends blood. I think it worked. Do you?
Well my main question is…how can I get my homemade board to work? I put YES, NO, A-Z, 0-9 and wrote OUIJA BOARD at the top. I covered it with clear tape and smeared melted butter so the shotglass would go smoothly. I mean, I really believe in this stuff but Idk why it didn’t work. Maybe my brother didn’t have faith? I mean, I think it might’ve worked but like, im still not sure. help?
UGH bitchezzz don’t tell me not to do it! I know all about this shit I’ve been researching it for god knows how long. I can’t buy one cause my parents will kill me if I do..
I made a Quija board at 15yrs old and At 23yrs old I STILL have it.
I made mines out of card board
Yes and No on the top of each side of the corner board.
in the middle the abc’s like a oval shape.
than Use a spoon to ask questions.
I don’t play it no more and I can’t get rid of it since is dangerous.
I asked”Who is here” and it said the devil’s child” I got so scared that I was going insane..true is dangerous and it takes over you.It mention something about my family dying and 3yrs later my grandmother died.It got to creepy.
anyway, you have to have faith and believe in the unknown for it to work.I played alone and later with 7 friends and they thought I was getting obessesed so I stopped playin for the strange things happening.
Here is a site how to make a quija board and good luck!
I hope I answered your question .

Pentax K-7 Kit
Pentax K-7 Kit

Should I switch my Pentax K-7 for Canon 7D? Tested out Canon and was VERY impressed. Found for 1600 (kit)?
I just got my Pentax k-7 from Abes of Maine and used it for about a week. It takes decent pics but there seems to be a lot of noise. My friend just got the Pentax K-x and her pics look like they are much clearer and have finer grain.
I own a 7D and while I would gladly recommend the camera, I’m with Fhotoace on this and would suggest you look into your technique and workflow before looking for another camera. The Pentax K-7 and K-x share the same sensor if I remember correctly. The K-x has slightly more refined noise reduction algorythms built into its firmware simply because it is newer but, the difference in performance between the two is perhaps one-half to one-full stop. If your friend is getting cleaner and more clear images with a “lower” end camera, I’d first look to see what she’s doing differently than you.
As Fhotoace has suggested, you should ask your friend if the two of you can shoot together shile your try each other’s cameras. For the test to have an validity, you’ll need to be shooting the same scenes, each adjusting the other’s cameras as you would your own for the shot. If she’s still getting cleaner images, then simply buying a much more expensive camera will not solve your problem. For example, when I started shooting with my 7D, I immediately noticed that some images had more noise than I expected. Coming from a Canon 40D and Rebel XSi (EOS 450D), I’d expected better. But I also quickly noticed the Auto ISO feature was automatically picking ISOs that were two-thirds to one full stop higher than I might have used on my for the same exposure settings that than I might have normally chosen with the 40D or XSi. Higher ISOs, as Fhotoace mentioned will not only create more noise, they degrade sharpness and overall image quality.
I’m not telling you to avoid the Canon 7D…it’s a great camera and I really do like mine a lot. However; having shot the Pentax K-7 myself, I think it too is a great camera in it’s own regard and I don’t know that I’d switch to Canon if I was already using the Pentax system and was otherwise happy. I also don’t think simply buying a 7D is going to make you happy. And another test you should consider before buying one is taking your Pentax K-7 on your next trip to a camera store along with a spare CF card (the Pentax uses SD cards if I remember correctly). Try shooting the two cameras side by side this time using the same settings in the same scenes and then take the resulting images home for comparison. If you decide the 7D is really that much better or that it’s easier for you to use, by all mean, buy it. But whatever you do, don’t get suckered into buying a $1600 camera plus all the lenses you’ll eventually need to go with it expecting it to inherently provide better photos when simply adjusting your settings on your existing camera might have solved your problem.
