The battery on HP laptop computers is typically able to provide about two hours worth of battery power before the computer depletes the battery’s power. Depending on your computer’s power settings, the length of time a battery works could be slightly more or slightly less. Once the battery no longer has any power, you must reset the battery by providing it with a charge. The process is simple, but it can take up to a couple of hours for the battery to recharge.

1. Plug the small end of the adapter cord into the DC IN outlet on the side of the laptop.

What to Look For

Hi. I have a Fujitsu Lifebook, and it’s about 4 years old so it’s only got a USB v1 slot and only Wireless A on it. I want to get a PC card (http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/WirelessGAdapters/WG511.aspx) to get Wireless G. I have 2 PC card slots on my laptop.
I want to know:
1.) Can I use that card?
2.) How do I know what type of PC card slot I have?
3.) I have a Pentium M processor, 1gb ram, Windows XP and about 120gb of hard disk space but USB version 1. What other type of network card can I use?

As long as you have an open laptop PCI (used to be called PCMCIA) slot, any laptop PCI card should work. The newer cards are compatable with the older slot design as well. There should not be any problems. USB version should have no affect on installing a card). PentM, XP, and 1GB RAM should run any software or PCI upgrades you can think of other than a few of the most demanding games that have been released in the last 2 years.
