Is stand really needed for the Brother PR600?
I am in the market to buy this machine or the Baby Lock version. I was wondering will the machine be more stable on the stand or will it work just as well on a counter top? I was thinking it could maybe move around on the counter top.
I own the PR 600 and can say that if you have a sturdy table you can use the PR 600 easily on a table top, but of you do not, I would recomend the stand. The stand has stabilizers to make it level. If you are planning on using this machine in more than one location I would suggest getting the stand. If you are purchaing new, you can talk the dealer into throwing in the stand as a package deal.
