Brother Hl-6050 – Big Printer For Big Jobs
The Brother HL-6050 is a big printer built for big jobs. It comes with oversized features such as large capacity paper trays and high recommended monthly paper output for those who simply have a lot of work to do.
The 500 sheet input capacity paper tray is twice the standard built in volume of smaller printers, and it is further expandable with a second 500 sheet tray which, along with a 100 sheet multi purpose tray, puts the possible total input paper capacity at 1100 sheets, so you’ll be punching out over two whole reams of paper without ever having to reload. Are those standardized 250 sheet trays keeping you guessing how much paper to use? The large capacity trays of the HL-6050 will have you throwing whole reams in at a time without the sometimes messy estimation process; this will also keep your printer loaded to absolute maximum paper volume with every reload, minimizing future restocking.
Sitting in the same category as the HP LaserJet 1320 and the Lexmark E332 as far features, Brother, as it usually is, is the competitor in terms of price. While the HL-6050 is by no means cheap, it definitely ranks as one of the most affordable in this range of printers. Like a cheap date, the HL-6050 may not be pretty, but the price is right.
Given the range of printers, Brother includes the key, office grade features you would expect, such asbuilt in networking capabilities, and standard duplex printing. Duplex allows double sided printing to be done automatically, so your documents will have that professional double sided look that is both practical and cost efficient as it saves you paper, and time on restocks. The printer also keeps it clean with a very professional 1200 X 1200 dots per inch print quality, which will be showcased on text churning out of your printer at the steady pace of up to 25 pages per minute and, to keep that high quality potential working at its fullest, Brother includes PCL6 drivers which work seamlessly with your computer. PCs and Macs are both welcome operating formats as well with this fully loaded unit.
Brother has included features with both the novice user and professional in mind. For the novice: you get a Quick Start guide with plenty of easy to follow instructions getting you set up in no time and, for the expert, an easy to read on board three color LCD display is implemented on the hardware for nitpicky tinkering with internal settings. The built in network features wireless capabilities with auto detect capabilities that can assist you in connecting and setting up an entire office of computers with printer access, all cordlessly, which makes getting this printer up and running easier for everyone no matter what your skill level.
The Brother HL-6050 doesn’t seem to have one particular feature that stands out, but it’s got a lot of them, making it obvious that this unit was intended for use as a heavy duty office machine aimed at the workplace that requires a lot of versatility, with none of the hassle.
