Brother innov-is 40 durable?

I’m trying to buy a good sewing machine for $400 or under. I took a look at the Brother innov-is 40 the other day and it looks pretty nice, but I wonder about it’s durability?

All sewing machines are durable as long as you take care of them and do not try impossible tasks.

Always match the needle type and size to the fabric (there will be a chart in the manual for the machine).

Read and apply each step of every feature to learn the machine before taking on a sewing project.

Visit the Brother dealer in you area. Ask for a demo.

Some “parts” are space age plastic and have been used in sewing machines for many years.

Asking for a sewing machine with all metal parts is like asking for cheese that comes from the moon.
