Help with external hard drive?
I have a fujitsu handydrive 400gb.
Before it was connecting and disconecting every few seconds, somehow i resolved that by trying to format/check disk… not sure how but now it no longer connects and disconects every few seconds.
New problem is that when i try to format / check disk it just disconnects, only happens when i try to check disk and format. I can put files in and take them out fine.
Need some help to fix this problem xD.
Not sure what is wrong here, but I will suggest that you disconnect the drive via the safely remove hardware feature to eliminate the need for running chkdsk. There is a delayed write cache in Windows and yanking the USB cable out of the computer without shutting down the device will corrupt the file system, creating the need to run chkdsk.
