pentax honeywell spotmatic camera lenses?

i mistankingly bidded for the spotmatic (honeywell) on ebay and although i love this camera i don’t think it is compatible with my k-1000 lenses which go on by the “turn and click” method.
i believe the spotmatic uses screw cap lenses.
is there any way to use k-1000 lenses on the spotmatic with some sort of accessory?

Hi Scotty,

First, if I may help you with the terminology:

– Your K-1000 uses lenses that have the “K-mount” lens mount, which is a “bayonet” type of mount (turn and click).
– The Spotmatic uses lenses that have the “M-42″ lens mount, also called “universal screwmount” and sometimes called “Pentax screwmount”.

Unfortunately, you can’t use your K-mount lenses on a Spotmatic. There was never an adapter made for that.

However, you CAN use M-42 lenses on your K-1000, with an adapter. Here’s an example:

So if you want to share lenses between your K-1000 and a Spotmatic, they’ll need to be M-42 lenses.
