why is my view finder very dark?

when i look into the pentax zx-50 viewfinder everything is very dark
nvm i fixed it. the aperture was closed

If it’s anything like my Pentax, when you turn the light meter on, the viewfinder darkens and lightens when you adjust the settings.

Possibility 1: Your light meter is on, and the settings it’s on will take a very dark picture.

Possibility 2: Your lens cap is on still :-p
