What kind of lens adapter do I need for my Pentax?
I have a Vivitar 75-205mm close focus lens that I’m trying to fit onto my Pentax ZX-50.
It depends on what camera mount the Vivitar is designed for as each manufacturer now have their own design for mounting the lens to the camera body.
Pentax call theirs a K mount and although there are some functional variations any K mount lens ever made will fit on any Pentax K mount slr or DSLR.
There used to be a for M42 screw mount system that was common between several manufacturers and Pentax have an adaptor for them
I have several Vivitars that use the screw mount and I still use them on my Pentax DSLRs and MZ-50 film slrs
