Brother HL-4040CN Printer let down by print quality
Brother has recently overhauled its range of laser printers and all-in-ones. The HL-4040CN fits in as being a high-end personal or perhaps medium-level workgroup colour laser printer, that has a few helpful extras.
The HL-4040CN is big and moreover square cut, yet retains a contemporary look and feel having inset panels of dark blue and silver. You can view the discrepancy between the default 600dpi of the printer’s Normal mode together with the 1,200dpi of its Fine mode. Whilst Fine mode reproduces shaded colour, such as areas of sky, much better than Normal mode, it does not do so well with darker detail, inside shadowed parts.
You’ll find definite bad and the good points to the HL-4040CN. The reprint along with direct print functions are items we have long looked for on business printers, since they are easy to apply and very useful to the consumer. Conversely, its deficiency of expandability as well as only average print quality count in opposition to the device. why is my brother HL-5140 laserjet Clicking?
picked up a Hl-5140 , waiting on toner for it, powered it up with drum in only and it made 2 click sounds a few seconds apart, as if it were spring loaded coming from the left of the printer. I read on forums that it could be the fuser, but those people who had problems had continuous grinding and clicking, would fitting the toner stop the two clicks when it starts up?
We have the 5140 as well as for the clicks it sounds like the laserjet is looking for or picking up the toner yet the toner cartridge it’s there.
Questions
Is the unit connected to the computer?
Is the software also installed on said computer?
Is the unit making noise while it is going through it’s cycle? (it will go through a couple cycles prior to stand by.
