If my quick research is correct, the play you’re talking about is “In Celebration”, by David Storey, which was filmed in 1975 for the American Film Theatre (and is still, as far as I can tell, available for purchase). My Pentax super program’s shutter is locked. Has been fixed quickly before at a repair shop. Can i fix it?
Like i stated, i have a Pentax super program camera. About every two years the shutter gets locked up and won’t fire. ( I think this is related to the camera’s battery becoming low). I have taken it to the same repair shop for years when this problem occurs. It literally would take them only 2 minutes to fix the problem. The repair shop is now out of business. Does anyone know how i can fix my camera? Thanks
Even after the battery is replaced the camera won’t work.
Replace the battery. It’s probably a pair of MS76 or LR44 batteries. Just unscrew the little metal cover with a quarter and there should be two small button batteries in there. Go to the electronics counter at Target or similar stores, and they should have a battery display with lots of small batteries like this. Or order them online.

A long with the recently announced PUMA line-up of notebooks, AMD dropped a bomb with the aptly termed XGP (External Graphics Platform).
Notebook users can make use of the XGP to up the graphics processing power of their AMD notebooks without causing a major drain on their power consumption. It involves a proprietary PCI-E 2.0 connector, enabling a CrossfireX setup on a laptop or notebook using a Radeon 3800 card or better. The technology is hot-swappable, allowing plug-in or pull-out-and-go functionality for the next generation notebooks.
It will now be possible to switch from low power Solitaire and PowerPoint mode to fully fledged gaming without the limitations of internal GPUs. Thanks to CrossfireX, the external card will be used in conjunction with the notebooks built-in GPU although it will be independently housed, cooled and powered.
The boost given by this setup allows an upstream and downstream bandwidth of 4GBs between the notebook and external GPU. Looking more like an external HDD bay than anything else, the ATI XGP has been demonstrated running demos on three displays simultaneously with little or no lag between them. The HDMI and multi-display options combined with the USB ports that are part and parcel of the external GPU will fit almost anything up to and including an external Blu-Ray player.
One of the first models in production is from electronics manufacturer Fujitsu. It is powered by a Radeon Mobility 3870 512MB DDR3 GPU which can be added to the PUMA based AMILO notebooks to beef up their graphics power.
The technology may take some getting used to housing a Graphics Processing Unit outside a case or chassis though. As other distributors pick up the XGP for manufacture, there may be some evolution in what is already an evolutionary concept. In fact a few producers to the local AMD team reveled that one developer is working on an external PCI-E slot like the one you would find on a PC motherboard so you can hook up any ATI card to your laptop. Now that’s what you call progress.

I have a new laptop – a FUJITSU SIEMENS AMILO LI2727 but I cannot get my Creative Webcam to work on it – HELP?
This particular webcam has a subtle blue light when it is on – although I have downloaded the software it resolutely refuses to switch on. Has the cam broken (I used it on my old laptop the day before we set up the new laptop) or is it a problem with the type of laptop? I am totally at a loss any help greatly appreciated!

Fujitsu PC released its new LifeBook E notebook series Thursday.Fujitsu Laptop Battery The notebooks are available in three configurations but can also be customized. They weigh about 6 pounds, come with 14.1-inch screens and feature an Intel mobile Pentium III processor at 650MHz, 750MHz or 850MHz. Prices range from $1,499 to $2,399.
The notebooks have a bay for CD-ROM, DVD or CD-RW drives or for a second battery, which can extend battery life to up to eight hours. The LifeBook E Series is available at retail and on the company’s Web site.
On Tuesday morning, Fujitsu announced updates to two of its LifeBook lines, the UMPC-like U series and the tiny P-series tablet. Designed primarily for use in vertical markets (think health care and manufacturing), the systems are also sure to appeal to buyers who want something as portable as a Netbook but are willing to pay more for a more thorough feature set.

The 5.6-inch LifeBook U820 updates the U810 we reviewed last year, adding a GPS receiver, plus integrated Garmin Mobile PC software for driving directions and points of interest.
The U820 is built on a Z-series Intel Atom processor and includes 1GB of RAM, Fujitsu FPCBP68 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP63 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP95 Battery plus your choice of a hard drive up to 120GB or a solid-state drive up to 64GB. There are plenty of features to appeal to mobile workers and their IT departments, including a 1.3-megapixel Webcam, fingerprint reader, and Kensington lock slot; WWAN will be offered as an option in 2009.
Fujitsu lets buyers choose between a two-cell battery, which reportedly lasts 3.5 hours, and a four-cell battery, which lasts 7.5 hours.Fujitsu FPCBP95 Battery The battery choice will also make a difference in weight: The laptop weighs 1.3 pounds with the smaller battery and 1.6 pounds with the larger one.

This new 2.2-pound tablet updates the P1620 with Centrino 2 components, including an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 Ultra Low Voltage Processor and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity. The new model also includes a 1.3-megapixel Webcam, an optional solid-state drive, and optional Bluetooth connectivity; WWAN will be offered as an option in 2009.
The company claims that the LifeBook P1630 can run up to 6.2 hours with the high-capacity battery. Starting at $2,179, the tablet is available immediately.

In the past few years, as companies like Dell and Sony have been making a big deal about releasing laptops in a rainbow of colors, Fujitsu has seemed content to stick with the traditional black, white, or silver. That all changed on Wednesday, when the company released the LifeBook A1110,Fujitsu FPCBP63 Battery, a 15.4-inch laptop with a distinct, eye-catching patterned lid.
Even better, the lid incorporates a swappable exterior panel, so if you become bored with the default green pattern, $20 buys you pink butterflies, or an ornate blue pattern, and potentially other colors in the future. Fujitsu has engineered the lid so that it can easily snap on and snap off the LCD cover for countless wardrobe changes. Cool, no?
The LifeBook A1110 includes one other small innovation that’s not as obvious as a snazzy changeable lid. A removable dust filter sits in front of the vents; it works like the lint trap on a clothes dryer, catching dust particles before they clog up the vents and computer interior. The removable part can easily be cleaned out every once in a while, which should help keep the laptop’s temperature down.
Fujitsu lets you configure the LifeBook A1110 to order with either the Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 or T5800 processors on a Centrino 2 platform,Fujitsu FPCBP68 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP63 Battery, Fujitsu FPCBP95 Battery up to 4GB of 800MHz RAM, 32-bit or 64-bit Windows Vista, and either 250GB or 320GB hard drives. The laptop weighs 6.3 pounds with the DVD burner and six-cell battery; the company projects a battery life of 2 hours, 30 minutes.
