Is it best to buy electronics from: 1) the manufacturer; 2) a store near by or 3) a Company with a good deal?
I want to invest in a $350-400 digital filing system scanner (NeatCo NeatDesk).SHOULD I BUY IT FROM THE MANUFACTURER; A NEAR-BY STORE (making questions, repairs or a return more convenient) OR FROM WHOMEVER HAS THE BEST DEAL (and then how can I tell which stores are trustworthy). I don’t know what Company I can rely on for returns or problems with the scanner or software. I don’t know how all that works. If I need a repair; who would I go through? the manufacturer, the Insurance people or the store I bought it from? How does that work?
There’s nothing I hate more then dealing with an uncooperative, unreasonable, inadequate or unavailable Company. I’d gladly pay more money to avoid unforeseen hassles. (i.e. I don’t want my address sold anymore). Where do look and how do I comparison shop without confusing myself with all the options.

If it breaks, you need to contact the manufacturer no matter where you bought it.
