My Pentax super program’s shutter is locked. Has been fixed quickly before at a repair shop. Can i fix it?
Like i stated, i have a Pentax super program camera. About every two years the shutter gets locked up and won’t fire. ( I think this is related to the camera’s battery becoming low). I have taken it to the same repair shop for years when this problem occurs. It literally would take them only 2 minutes to fix the problem. The repair shop is now out of business. Does anyone know how i can fix my camera? Thanks

Replace the battery. It’s probably a pair of MS76 or LR44 batteries. Just unscrew the little metal cover with a quarter and there should be two small button batteries in there. Go to the electronics counter at Target or similar stores, and they should have a battery display with lots of small batteries like this. Or order them online.

A little help with my Sony walkman?
I’ve just bought a Sony walkman (NWZ-E436F) and I’m having a few problems.
*How do I transfer videos easily onto the walkman? It just keeps saying there’s no file, or the software won’t convert it.
*When I upload my album art or organize my music into nice, neat folders using windows media player (better than the software that came with the walkman!), it looks perfect when plugged into my pc, but when i scroll through on my walkman, it’s still the same mish mash!
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can’t take it back because I threw away the packaging and i lost the receipt (stupid I know).
This question was very techically deficient. There are some important details missing here that you should have included in your question – I don’t know what a “mish mash” is or what you did to try and put videos on your player. I don’t even know what kind of video you tried putting on – what format? According to the review on cNet, it will play MPEG-4, H.264/AVC, and WMV file types. You might have to convert your file into one of those file types first, then use the software.
As for your audio problems, the player will most likely arrange your files for display according to the tags for each file – the folder arrangement w/i the player isn’t what matters.
You need a program that will allow you to either batch edit or individually edit the tags for your mp3 files. I suggest MP3tag – it’s a great program I’ve used w/my Sansa for years. It will allow you to organize your library by cutting down the number of tags for the same info (you won’t have six different spells of the same band/artist, or nine different genre listings for “rock”). Get a program like that, tinker for a half hour or so, then you should be good to go.

It would be nice to see more printers and all in one units that offer NC-2100P and NC-2200W options like the Brother MFC-8440, meaning, though Ethernet and Wireless are not included in the unit, you at least have the option of upgrading. Then again, the external Ethernet cards are so costly you’re really better off just buying a unit designed for networking if your demands require it. Either way, the option is there with the MFC-8440, and, with a full range of high end capabilities, the unit can serve as a great assistance to your small office with or without a network.
Though the unit itself is reasonably sized the flatbed scanner fixated to the top is big, and it’s designed that way. This sturdy flatbed model hides a document glass capable of scanning full legal sized paper, or even an open magazine. It also simplifies the scanning process for single pages, removing the need to use an auto feed and, for larger sets of work that need to be scanned, copied, or faxed, the unit does come equipped with an enormous 50 sheet capacity automatic document feeder that can do a lot of the work for you when dealing with entire manuscripts or multiple projects at one time. The scan resolution itself is not bad, with optical scoring a 600 X 2400 dot per inch res, and a maximuminterpolated scan resolution of up to 9600 dots per inch, with optional color scanning with a 48 bit depth.
The “Scan to” feature also allows you to scan directly to an e mail, image, or other file type, but don’t forget the handy OCR feature available thanks to the included Scansoft PaperPort® SE with OCR for Windows® and Presto!® PageManager® for Mac® software. With Optical Character Recognitionyou can scan an incoming fax not just as a picture, but as an actual digital text file making it possible to ultimately edit hard copies on the desktop. Thanks to the flatbed design you can even scan pages from a book.
Black and white copying can be done stand alone or with a PC, and includes helpful options accessible through the built in LCD screen such as enlargement and reduction ratios of 25 % through 400 %, which means you can use the 2 in 1 or 4 in 1 options to squeeze up to four pages onto one. The unit doesn’t stop there and also offers a comprehensive sorting function to automatically sort multiple copies, and also a poster function for over sizing.
